SELLER AND/OR HOME-CHEF POLICY

At TheFoodCompany (TFC), we prioritise creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for both Sellers and/or Home-Chefs as well as our valued Buyers. To ensure clarity and transparency in our operations, we have established the following policies and guidelines for Sellers and/or Home-Chefs participating in our pre-ordered home-based food delivery service:

 

1. Account Creation and Information Accuracy

1.1 To access our full range of features and services, Seller and/or Home-chef must create an account.

1.2 During registration, Seller and/or Home-chef agrees to provide accurate, current, and complete information, including name, contact details, and delivery address.

1.3 Seller and/or Home-chef are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Any activities conducted under a Seller and/or Home-chef account are their sole responsibility.

 

2. Customer-Vendor Live Chat and Support Ticket

2.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs are required to respond promptly to buyer feedback, queries, and support tickets through the provided communication channels. Prompt communication enhances the customer experience and resolves any issues efficiently.

 

3. Store Invoice, Commission Invoice & Packing Slip

3.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs must generate accurate store invoices, commission invoices, and packing slips for each order to maintain transparency in transactions and facilitate smooth delivery processes.

 

4. Shipment Tracking

4.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs should provide shipment tracking information to buyers to enable them to monitor the status of their orders. Timely updates help build trust and satisfaction among customers.

 

5. Order Changes and Cancellations

5.1 Once an order is confirmed, changes or cancellations cannot be accommodated due to the unique nature of our pre-order system.

5.2 Payment is required at the time of placing the order. We encourage Seller and/or Home-chef to verify order details and confirm payment before finalising the order.

 

6. Vendor Verification and Following – Followers

6.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs must undergo a verification process to ensure legitimacy and build trust with buyers. Additionally, they are encouraged to engage with customers by following up on orders and fostering positive relationships.

 

7. Vendor Badges and Vacation Mode

7.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs may earn vendor badges based on their performance and adherence to guidelines. They should also utilise vacation mode to temporarily pause operations and manage customer expectations.

 

8. Product Management Features

8.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs have access to various product management features such as bulk stock management, quick edit, and bulk edit to streamline their operations and maintain accurate product listings.

 

9. Delivery Fee Distance Adjustment and Delivery Date Management

9.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs should adjust delivery fees based on distance and manage delivery dates effectively to meet customer expectations and minimise delays.

 

10. Logistics and Delivery

10. While TheFoodCompany (TFC) facilitates integration with Delyva Delivery Service for order pickups, we are not responsible for any issues or disputes during the logistics process.

 

11. Cancellation and Refund Policy

11.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs must adhere to the cancellation and refund policy, ensuring that cancellations are made with valid reasons and refunds are processed promptly and accurately.

 

12. Account Security and Content Guidelines

12.1 Sellers and Home-Chefs should maintain the security of their accounts and refrain from uploading copyrighted content or engaging in any activities that may harm TheFoodCompany (TFC) or its customers.

 

13. Payment Method

13.1 Prior to finalising the payment, Seller and/or Home-chef are encouraged to carefully review the details of their orders. It’s important for Seller and/or Home-chef to verify these details directly 

13.2 Additionally, Seller and/or Home-chef should confirm with the Buyer that they made the payment before proceeding with the orders. By taking these steps, Seller and/or Home-chef can prevent any potential disputes and ensure a smooth and satisfactory transaction process for parties involved.

 

14. Disputes and Concerns

14.1 In the event of order discrepancies, quality issues, or other valid reasons, refunds or replacements may be offered.

14.2 Seller and/or Home-chef may contact our Customer Support Team at info@thefoodcompany.sg for any disputes or concerns related to orders. Please note that TheFoodCompany (TFC) acts as an intermediary in dispute resolution and is not responsible or liable for disputes between Buyer and/or Seller and/or Home-chef and logistic partners.

14.3 We hope these policies provide clarity and transparency regarding our pre-ordering process. At TheFoodCompany (TFC), we strive to provide excellent customer service and ensure your satisfaction with every order. 

 

15. Amendments and Updates

15.1 TheFoodCompany (TFC) reserves the right to amend or update the Buyer Policy at any time without prior notice. Buyer will be notified of any changes to the policy, and continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policies.
